Project Coordinator for Alarm, CCTV, and Access Control Systems

About the Unit

You will belong to the Swedish Armed Forces' Telecommunications and Information Systems Unit (FMTIS), Implementation Unit South (GE Syd) based in Eksjö. GE Syd conducts operations that ensure the Armed Forces' ability to communicate and lead, around the clock - year-round. GE Syd consists of over 170 employees distributed across 7 departments in 6 locations within Military Region South. The Implementation Department in Eksjö is growing and is now looking for a Project Coordinator for alarm, CCTV, and access control systems to strengthen our team.

Main Responsibilities

As a project coordinator, you will report directly to the department head. The position does not include personnel responsibility. The work mainly consists of leading/implementing projects, contracts, design work, tendering, and inspections. The work also involves budgeting within the technical area and providing support to our technicians on technical issues. Collaborations often occur within the department, the unit, the unit, but also with other parallel organizations within and outside the Armed Forces.

As a project coordinator for alarm and access control systems, you will lead and follow up on your own and contracted subcontractor's activities and report and document ongoing and completed work. You will collaborate with suppliers and support the Armed Forces' units on technical issues. Business trips may occur, as well as tasks in other locations. The work is primarily performed in the Armed Forces' premises and facilities in GE Syd, located in Eksjö.

  • Drive expansion and new installation projects for alarm, access, CCTV systems
  • Ensure projects are carried out within the allocated budget and timeframe
  • Provide technical support and advice within the technical surveillance area
  • Conduct budgeting within the technical area

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • High school or post-secondary education with a focus on Electrical/Telecommunications or equivalent knowledge that can be assessed as equivalent
  • Documented experience in installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of access and alarm systems
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, and OneNote
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Experience in implementation planning
  • Driver's license B

DESIRABLE

  • Documented knowledge of Milestone, RCO, Unison, Sentrion S4
  • Understanding of concepts and functions within TCP/IP, switching, and routing in the context of access and alarm systems
  • Experience in design work
  • Completed military service or basic military training
  • Other completed military training
  • Military driver's license

The position is a permanent employment at 100% with a 6-month probationary period. The position is civilian with military placement in the Armed Forces. Unpleasant working hours may occur, as well as travel in the service. Work location: Eksjö. Start date according to agreement. Interviews will be conducted continuously during the recruitment period.
